The Adaptec AHA-2940 PCI-to-Fast SCSI host adapters provide a powerful multi-tasking interface between your computer's PCI bus and SCSI devices (disk drives, CD-ROM drives, scanners, tape backups, removable media drives,etc.). Drivers for the Portable SCSI, ISA, EISA, Vesa Local, and Microchannel family adapters for supported Operating Systems are available from the Obsolete Products Site. Note: Adaptec provides support for the controller but not for motherboard embedded AIC chips. ( 4 ) Adaptec supplied drivers are included with Windows 7 and Server 2008 R2. ( 5 ) This card will function with the drivers available for download under the 32-bit versions of Windows 7 only. There will be no support for x64 Editions of Windows 7 or Server 2008 R2.
